Levy County, FL (January 21, 2021) - A 59-year-old Brooksville man died in a crash that took place on Wednesday in Levy County. The accident was reported around 3:15 p.m. on County Road 241.
The man was driving a white cargo van in the southbound lanes of CR 241 near the intersection with CR 343. As he approached the intersection, a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old woman from Trenton ran a stop sign and crashed into the van. The Brooksville man was pronounced dead at the accident scene while the female truck driver was taken to UF Health Shands with serious injuries. There is no word on the identities of either driver at this time.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and there is no information on potential charges. No additional details are available.
