Hendry County, FL (January 21, 2021) - A 42-year-old man and his 14-year-old daughter died in a crash on State Road 80 in Hendry County. The crash took place on Wednesday, January 20th around 10:30 p.m.
According to police, 42-year-old Enedino Galindo was operating an SUV and backing out of a driveway when he was hit by an SUV driven by a 38-year-old woman from Alva. The woman was traveling over 100 miles per hour when the crash occurred. Galindo and his 14-year-old daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. His 13-year-old daughter was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where she is listed in critical condition. The SUV driver was also treated at a local hospital and was listed in good condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
