Indian River County, FL (January 30, 2021) - A crash in Indian River County sent two people to the hospital on Friday morning. The accident occurred around 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Oslo Road.
According to a report from law enforcement officials, one vehicle was turning west onto Oslo Road when it was struck head-on by a second vehicle traveling northbound on 43rd Avenue. A woman was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center with serious injuries following the crash, while a man was taken to Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital with unknown injuries. It is not clear which cars the victims were occupying at the time of the incident but there were no other motorists involved in the crash. The victims have not been identified and there is no word on charges at this time.
The northbound lanes of the road were shut down following the crash as motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel while police investigated.
