St. Petersburg, FL (February 4, 2021) - A crash involving three cars, including a police vehicle took place on Thursday morning in St. Petersburg. The accident took place just before 7:00 p.m on First Avenue South.
According to police, a pickup truck, a mini cooper, and a St. Petersburg Police vehicle were all involved. The driver of the truck and the officer were hurt in the accident. They were taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There is no word on the accident at this time and no further information is available.
According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were approximately 400,000 car accidents in Florida in 2019. These numbers prove just how dangerous the roadways in the Sunshine State can be.
