Lake County, FL (February 9, 2021) - One person was killed in a crash that happened in Lake County on Tuesday morning. The accident took place on County Road 33 near Austin Merritt Road.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office, along with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to officials, a fatality was confirmed in the accident, though at this time the identity of the deceased victim has not been released. The crash caused the road to close in all directions for several hours. There is no word on the caused the collision to occur.
Motorists were urged to use caution in the area and were told to find a different route if possible. There is no additional information available at this time.
