Coconut Creek, FL (February 15, 2021) - A 16-year-old girl from Pompano Beach died and seven others were hurt in a crash that took place on Sunday evening in Coconut Creek. The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on Sample Road near Lyons Road and Florida's Turnpike.

According to police, the crash involved several teenagers. A 14-year-old girl, as well as 15 and 16-year-old boys, were hurt in the crash. All were taken to area hospitals following the crash. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Motorists were urged to find an alternate route of travel if possible. 

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. There is no additional information available at this time.
