Lakeland, FL (February 16, 2021) - The Polk County Sheriff's Officer responded to the scene of a vehicle crash on Monday, February 15th. The collision happened on County Road 540A near Harrells Nursery Road and Lakeland Highlands Road.

According to deputies, the accident was a rollover crash. At least one of the cars involved was a vehicle pulling a trailer but there is no word on the exact cause of the accident at this time. Police and rescue crews responded to the scene and one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of significant injuries. The victim has not been identified at this time and there is no information on whether any charges are expected to be filed. The roadway was briefly closed but later reopened.
