Gibsonton, FL (February 19, 2021) - A 20-year-old man from Gibsonton suffered serious injuries in a crash that took place on U.S. 41 on Thursday. The accident happened around 1:35 p.m. near Gibsonton Drive.
According to reports from officials, a 79-year-old man from Riverview was driving a pickup truck westbound on Gibsonton Drive when he turned left in front of the 20-year-old man's vehicle. The two vehicles collided and the 20-year-old was thrown from his truck following a rollover. The 20-year-old sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The 79-year-old man suffered minor injuries. Neither of the victims have been identified at this time.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
