Brevard County, FL (February 20, 2021) - A man from New York died when a car in which he was riding lost control and struck a guardrail in Brevard County. The crash happened on Friday afternoon, February 19th at about 2:50 p.m.

According to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man was driving a sedan on I-95 when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle. The car left the roadway and collided with a guardrail. A 21-year-old man and a 27-year-old man from New York were in the vehicle as passengers at the time of the collision. The 27-year-old man was rushed to a hospital where he died from his injuries. The 21-year-old man sustained serious injuries while the driver suffered only minor injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no word on potential charges and no one involved has been identified.
