Pembroke Pines, FL (February 21, 2021) - Multiple cars were involved in a collision that took place in Pembroke Pines on Sunday, February 21st. The crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Pines Boulevard.
According to officials, a total of three cars were involved in the accident. The crash occurred as two officers with the Pembroke Pines Police Department had finished conducting a traffic stop. As their emergency lights were on, a Toyota slammed into the back of one of the police cruisers, causing a chain reaction crash with another vehicle. Neither officer was inside their car when the accident took place but both suffered minor injuries due to flying debris. The Toyota driver and a female passenger had to be extricated from their vehicle and were taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.
