Boynton Beach, FL (February 22, 2021) - A man is dead following a crash on the Florida's Turnpike on Sunda. The accident took place near Boynton Beach at mile marker 86 around 5:40 a.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to troopers, two sedans were traveling northbound when one struck the rear of another. Both cars then veered off the roadway and collided with a wall in the median before coming to rest and erupting into flame. One driver was taken to Delray Beach Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries while a second was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased driver has not been identified by police at this time.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
