Key Largo, FL (February 22, 2021) - One person is dead following a crash on U.S. 1. The crash happened on Tuesday, February 22nd around 4:20 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene near mile marker 98 in Key Largo. According to a report, a woman was killed in the accident. The woman's name and age are not available at this time. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur. The crash caused the roadway to be closed while officials investigated the scene and cleared away the wreckage. The road later reopened around noon.
No further information has been released at this time.
