Tampa, FL (February 26, 2021) - A deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Officer and another driver were hurt in a crash that took place in Tampa on Friday, February 26th. The accident occurred on Adamo Drive near Currie Davis Drive at approximately 9:00 p.m.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the deputy and the driver of a truck were involved in a collision. The truck collided with a power pole after the initial impact. Rescue officials arrived at the scene and transported the truck driver to a local hospital with serious injuries. The deputy sustained minor injuries. Neither the deputy nor the truck driver has been identified. There is no word on the events leading up to the accident.

An investigation is ongoing. No further information is available.
