Osprey, FL - Serious Crash Reported Saturday on Tamiami Trail

Osprey, FL (October 4, 2020) - Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries in Osprey on Saturday, October 3rd. The crash took place on South Tamiami Trail at the intersection with Luminary Boulevard.

The Florida Highway Patrol was among the first agencies to respond to the scene. Troopers reported that at least one person was injured in the crash although the nature of the injuries remains unclear at this time. All northbound lanes of Tamiami Trail were closed while investigators worked at the scene. There is no information at this time on the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved.

An investigation remains ongoing. No additional details are available.
