Melbourne, FL (September 29, 2020) - A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a van in Melbourne on Saturday, September 26th. The crash took place around 5:00 p.m. on Highway A1A near Paradise Boulevard.

According to reports from the scene, a minivan was traveling southbound along A1A when it left the roadway and struck a woman who was walking on the sidewalk. The woman sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. After the crash, the minivan driver fled the scene. Surveillance footage in the area captured the crash on camera. The van is described as being maroon or burgundy with black rims. It is expected to have significant damage to the bumper and fender on the passenger side.
