Dunnellon, FL (October 5, 2020) - A 77-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash in Dunnellon on Sunday. The crash took place on Southwest 93rd Lane near the intersection with U.S. 41.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to a report, the man was driving a sedan with a 76-year-old female passenger when he came to a stop sign at the U.S. 41 intersection. As he proceeded into the intersection, his vehicle collided with a truck driven by a 30-year-old man from Ocala. The male sedan driver was killed and his female passenger sustained serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured. No one involved in the crash has been identified and there is no word at this time on whether any charges are expected.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing. No further information is available.
