Jacksonville, FL (October 6, 2020) - Two people were killed in a crash involving a disabled vehicle in Jacksonville early Sunday morning. The collision took place around 2:00 a.m. along I-295 near Wilson Boulevard.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, a vehicle became disabled in the southbound lanes of the roadways. A good Samaritan spotted the vehicle and stopped to help. As the good Samaritan and a passenger of the disabled vehicle were attempting to push the car out of the way, they were both struck by an oncoming vehicle. Both victims died at the scene. Their identities have not been released but FHP has reported that they were 19 and 21 years old. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the accident. 

Troopers are still investigating the accident at this time. There is no further information available. 

There is nothing more devastating and heartbreaking than the loss of a loved one in a Florida traffic accident.
