Collier County, FL (October 6, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a hit-and-run crash with injuries in Collier County on Tuesday. The accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Mile Marker 103.

Troopers received a dispatch call regarding the accident around 7:20 a.m. and arrived at the scene approximately 10 minutes later. According to reports, a driver caused a crash and then fled the scene before police arrived. Rescue crews were also dispatched to the scene to render medical treatment to at least one injured victim. The extent of the victim's injuries is not known at this time and there has been no information on the events leading up to the accident. Motorists were advised to use caution when traveling near the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. There is no further information available.
