Jacksonville, FL (October 7, 2020) - Police responded to the scene of a crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer in Jacksonville on Monday afternoon. The crash happened on I-95 near the intersection with 8th Street.
According to reports, the tractor-trailer left the roadway following the crash, crashed through a guardrail, and then slid about 20 feet down an embankment before coming to rest. The driver sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Two occupants of the car were also hospitalized but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur. The Jacksonville Fire-Rescue, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, responded to the crash scene.
