Osceola County, FL (September 22, 2020) - A 20-year-old woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Osceola County. The accident took place around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Police responded to the scene on Interstate 4. According to reports, a man was driving a pickup truck on the highway when he lost control and veered off the roadway for unknown reasons. The truck collided with a guardrail before overturning and coming to rest in the median. A female passenger in the truck was ejected and died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available. The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He has also not been identified at this time.

Police continue to investigate the crash. There are no further details available. 

According to the most recent statistics, there are about 400,000 traffic accidents in Florida each year. This number continues to rise with more negligent drivers and congested roadways. Many thousands of these victims will be injured when they come into contact with negligent drivers, resulting in a crash that was not their fault.
