Clermont, FL (September 22, 2020) - A teenager was killed and three others were seriously hurt in a crash between a car and a box truck on U.S. 27 in Clermont. The collision took place on Tuesday, September 22nd around 2:30 a.m. 

The Clermont Police Department responded to the crash scene shortly after the accident occurred. According to officers, four juveniles were traveling in a Toyota Corolla when the car collided with a box truck. One of the teenage passengers died in the crash while the driver and another passenger in the Toyota sustained critical injuries. A third passenger suffered serious injuries. No one in the box truck suffered major injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information currently available.

Fatal car accidents in Florida occur approximately once every three hours.
