Daytona Beach, FL (October 11, 2020) - The Daytona Beach Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash on Friday, October 9th. The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Clyde Morris Boulevard near New Bellevue Avenue.

According to investigators, a 48-year-old man was driving a silver Suzuki VI 800 motorcycle southbound on Clyde Morris. The motorcyclist was in the right turn lane when it collided with a 2016 Kia Forte LX. The Forte driver had stopped at the intersection of Clyde Morris and New Bellevue before proceeding into the intersection and striking the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, died at the accident scene. The driver of the Kia, a 52-year-old woman, was not hurt in the crash. Her identity has not been released at this time. 

Police are still investigating the crash. There are charges pending against the Kia driver.
