Oxford, FL - Two Killed in Saturday Car Accident on U.S. 301

Oxford, FL (October 12, 2020) - Two people were killed in a car accident that took place in Oxford on Saturday, October 10th. The crash happened around 7:50 a.m. on U.S. 301.

According to a report, a 19-year-old man from Summerfield was traveling northbound on U.S. 301 with an 18-year-old female passenger in his vehicle. The man lost control of his car for unknown reasons and veered across several lanes of traffic before crossing the median and striking a southbound vehicle head-on. Both the driver and the passenger of the sedan died at the crash scene. A 65-year-old man and 28-year-old woman in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
