Hialeah, FL (September 19, 2020) - An 85-year-old man from Hialeah died in a hit-and-run accident on Friday. The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. on East 65th Street near East Fourth and Fifth Avenues.
Police say that Adriana Quintana was out for a morning walk and was crossing the street in a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Quintana was thrown about 30 feet in the air before hitting the ground. The driver who struck him did not stop and fled the scene before police could arrive. Quintana was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue workers. There is no description of the suspect at this time and an investigation is ongoing.
