SW Miami-Dade, FL (September 18, 2020) - Police are investigating after a fiery crash claimed the life of one person in Southwest Miami-Dade on Friday morning. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on U.S. 1 at the intersection with Southwest 23rd Street.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to officials, the crash involved three vehicles. Following the collision, one of the vehicles was forced off the roadway and struck a concrete light pole before bursting into flames. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no word on the victim's identity at this time. Police have not said whether anyone else was hurt as a result of the accident. The cause of the crash has not been revealed.
