Pasco County, FL (September 18, 2020) - Three people were hurt in a head-on crash that took place along I-75 in Pasco County. The crash happened around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was towing a trailer and traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Blanton Road. At the same time, a pickup truck driver was traveling northbound on I-75 and saw the SUV coming towards his vehicle. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Starke, took evasive action to avoid the SUV but collided with two other vehicles instead. The drivers of the other two vehicles and a 39-year-old female passenger in the pickup truck were seriously hurt. They were taken to a hospital for treatment but there is no word on their condition at this time.
Police are still investigating the crash at this time. There are charges pending against the SUV driver. No further details are available at this time.
