Fort Pierce, FL (September 17, 2020) - A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a crash that happened in Fort Pierce on Thursday, September 17th. The incident was reported around 4:50 a.m.. in the 100 block of U.S. 1.
According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, the pedestrian from Orlando was walking along a sidewalk on U.S. 1 when he was hit by a car that left the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 39-year-old female from Stuart. The pedestrian was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute for treatment. He was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
There is no further information available at this time. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
