Charlotte County, FL - Man Killed in Thursday Pedestrian Accident on I-75

Charlotte County, FL (September 17, 2020) - A man was killed in a pedestrian accident along I-75 in Charlotte County. The crash took place around 4:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 161.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the accident took place. According to a report from the scene, the pedestrian was walking in a northbound lane when he was hit by a car. The pedestrian was then struck by a second vehicle. Rescue crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time. There were no additional injuries reported.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time. No additional information is available.
