Orange County, FL - FHP Responds to Injury Crash on Interstate 4

Orange County, FL (September 16, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash in Orange County on Wednesday, September 16th. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4, near mile marker 72. Police arrived at the scene around 8:00 p.m.

According to reports, at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The extent of the injuries sustained is unknown at this time. There is no word on the cause of the accident. The collision caused a roadblock at the scene as motorists were urged to find alternate routes for their travel while police and rescue workers were at the scene. 

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. No further details are available at this time. 

Florida experiences approximately 400,000 car accidents each year. While this number may seem high, it equates to a reportable crash happening approximately once every 92 seconds. More than half of all reported accidents will also result in injury for one or more victims. No one is ever immune from being the victim of an injury crash on Florida's streets and highways.
