Venice, FL (September 13, 2020) - One person is dead following a car accident in Venice on Saturday. The crash was reported around 4:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near South Moon Drive and mile marker 189.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene just after the accident occurred. According to troopers, the crash involved a single fatality. It is unknown if there were any other injuries reported as a result of the collision. The circumstances surrounding the accident have not been revealed at this time and the deceased victim has not been identified. Police closed two right-hand lanes while they investigated the crash and cleared away debris from the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time. There is no further information available.
