Charlotte County, FL - 19-Year-Old Hospitalized After Crash with School Bus

Charlotte County, FL (September 11, 2020) - A 19-year-old woman was hospitalized following a crash with a school bus o US 41 in Charlotte County. The crash took place on Friday, September 11th near E Twin Lakes Drive.

According to reports, the bus was traveling westbound on E Twin Lakes near US 41 when the driver came to a stop sign. The driver failed to yield to an oncoming car and the two vehicles collided with one another. The female driver of the car suffered serious injuries while the bus driver was not hurt. One student on the bus suffered minor injuries. Following an investigation, officers determined that the bus driver was at fault for the accident. 

No further information has been released at this time.
