Lehigh Acres, FL (September 10, 2020) - Two people were killed in a three-car crash that took place on I-75 in Collier County. The crash happened in the Alligator Alley area around 6:35 a.m.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene shortly after the crash occurred. According to a report, a 36-year-old male was driving a sedan westbound on I-75 near mile marker 69. At the same time, a tractor-trailer was also traveling westbound and a pickup truck was traveling behind the two vehicles. The right side of the sedan collided with the front of the tractor-trailer. The sedan then came to rest facing northbound in the left lane. As the sedan was facing northbound, it was hit by the pickup truck.
The driver and passenger of the sedan were killed in the crash. The drivers of the tractor-trailer and pickup truck were not injured in the crash.
The FHP continues to investigate the accident there is no additional information available.
