Bradenton, FL - Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-Run on 26th Street West

Bradenton, FL (October 21, 2020) - Police in Bradenton responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcycle on Monday, October 19th. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on 26th Street West at the intersection with 38th Avenue West.

According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, a dark-colored Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on 26th Street West. At the same time, a 31-year-old motorcyclist was traveling northbound towards the same intersection. The Hyundai entered the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, causing it to overturn and come to rest in the opposite lane. The motorcyclist was seriously hurt as a result of the crash. There is no word regarding any additional injuries.

Investigators concluded that the driver of the Sonata violated the motorcyclist's right-of-way, thus causing the accident to occur. No further information has been released at this time.
