Osceola County, FL - Driver Killed in Car Accident on Florida’s Turnpike

Osceola County, FL (October 22, 2020) - A driver was killed in a car accident that took place on Florida's Turnpike in Osceola County. The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m. near mile marker 198.

According to troopers, a 23-year-old man from Gainesville was traveling southbound when he lost control of his car and collided with a semi-truck which was stationary in an emergency lane. The man was killed at the crash scene. His identity has not been released at this time. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured. There is no word on the cause of the accident at this time.

Police are still investigating the crash. No further information is available.
