Bradenton, FL - Three Hurt in Car Accident at Bank of America on 14th Street

Bradenton, FL (September 8, 2020) - Three people were injured in a crash that took place at the Bank of America building in Bradenton on Tuesday, September 8th. The accident was reported around 1:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of 14th Street West.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 90-year-old driver was pulling into a parking space when he inadvertently hit the gas pedal and accelerated forward. As he traveled forward, the man collided with the glass entry doors at the bank. His car traveled into the lobby ad struck an 85-year-old, a 57-year-old woman, and a 66-year-old man. The 85-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Blake Medical Center. The two other victims sustained minor injuries. Police have not released the names of anyone involved in the crash at this time and there is no information on whether charges are expected to be filed.
