Pompano Beach, FL (September 7, 2020) - A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Pompano Beach on Sunday, September 6th. The crash was reported just before 6:00 a.m. on South Cypress Road near Southwest 5th Court.
Deputies with the Broward County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of the incident. When police and rescue crews arrived, they located the victim of the hit-and-run accident. The unidentified individual was walking along the roadway when they were hit by a car in the area. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identity has not been released at this time. Officers believe that multiple vehicles were responsible for the crash and are still searching for the suspects at this time. There is no information on the events leading up to the crash.
