Dania Beach, FL (September 2, 2020) - Four people suffered injuries in a three-car crash involving a Broward County Sheriff's Deputy on Monday, August 31st. The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 800 block of East Dania Beach Boulevard.

According to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, a deputy in a marked patrol vehicle was hit by a Honda while traveling along East Dania Beach Boulevard. A Broward County transit bus was also in the area and was involved in the accident. The deputy had to be extricated from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries in the crash. Three others were also taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. There is no information on the identity of the victims or their conditions at this time.

Police are still investigating in order to determine who should be held responsible for the accident. There is no further information available.
