Plant City, FL (September 2, 2020) - One person is dead following a crash in Plant City. The crash took place around 11:40 p.m. along Ralston Road near the intersection with County Line Road.
According to reports from the scene, a teenage driver was operating a 2004 Ford Expedition at a high rate of speed. The Ford hit a speed before running off of the roadway and collided with a tree. An 18-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle and died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. Two other passengers were taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. No one involved has been identified.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time. There is no further information available.
