Hillsborough County, FL (October 24, 2020) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were on the scene of a car accident with injuries on Saturday morning. The crash took place along U.S. 301 and was reported at approximately 8:00 a.m.

Officials responded to the scene near Sligh Avenue at approximately 8:05 a.m. According to troopers, there were reports of at least one person suffering injuries in the accident. There are no details on the cause of the crash or the condition of the injured victim at this time. The accident resulted in a roadblock at the scene as motorists were advised to use caution and to avoid traveling near the scene if possible. 

There is no further information surrounding the accident or its cause at this time and there is no word on whether charges are expected. An investigation is ongoing.

While no one ever expects to be hurt in an accident, these crashes can and do take place each day across our state.
