Bradenton, FL (August 13, 2020) - A man was killed in a motor scooter crash that took place in Bradenton on Thursday, August 13th. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of State Road 64.
Police and rescue crews arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m. According to reports, the moped driver attempted to cross a street near 52nd Street East. The moped was hit by a vehicle that was traveling westbound. The moped driver was killed in the crash. His identity has not been released at this time. No other injuries were reported.
State Road 64 was closed briefly while police investigated the crash. The road was down to one lane until it reopened at about 3:30 p.m. Police are still investigating the crash at this time and no further information has been released.
