Orange County, FL (August 3, 2020) - A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a car in Orange County on Monday, August 3rd. The crash took place around 3:00 p.m. on Clarcona Road near Red Bone Lane.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, a car was traveling eastbound on Clarcona when the driver attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Red Bone. The car, however, turned directly into the path of the motorcycle and caused a crash to occur. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and later rushed to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. The motorcyclist's identity has not been released at this time. The driver of the car was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time. It is not clear whether any charges are expected.
