Kissimmee, FL (November 3, 2020) - A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash that took place on Monday evening in Kissimmee. The crash took place on South Poinciana Boulevard near Old Tampa Highway.

According to a report, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on South Poinciana when a van turned left in front of him, causing the two vehicles to collide. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the van, a 33-year-old Kissimmee man, was not injured in the crash. Neither of the two drivers involved has been identified at this time. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident at this time.

There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No additional details are available. 

A Florida motorcycle crash can result in life-altering injuries and consequences. Although motorcycles make up only about 3% of all registered motor vehicles, they are involved in about 15% of all fatal crashes in Florida. These numbers underscore the danger to motorcyclists when they are involved in a crash.
