Alva, FL (November 4, 2020) - A 14-year-old boy was killed in a car accident that took place in Lee Count on Wednesday. The crash happened at 2:19 p.m. at the intersection of Palm Beach Boulevard and Broadway Street.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, a 16-year-old boy was driving a sedan eastbound on Palm Beach Boulevard. The boy attempted to make a left turn when he collided with a truck that was driven by a 26-year-old man from Miami. A 14-year-old passenger was killed in the crash while the driver was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers are still investigating the crash at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected.
