Kissimmee, FL - Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Reported on John Young Parkway

Kissimmee, FL (November 10, 2020) - Police in Kissimmee responded to the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash on Sunday, November 8th. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Emmett Street.

According to authorities, a Ford Transit Van collided with a pedestrian near the intersection and then fled the crash scene. The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still looking for the suspect at this time. They believe that the van is missing the front lower portion of its grill. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.

There is no additional information at this time.

According to the most recent statistics, there were approximately 105,000 hit-and-run crashes in Florida last year. This number accounted for about one-quarter of all reported crashes in our state. A hit-and-run accident can and often does lead to serious injuries for the affected victim.
