Putnam Couty, FL (November 13, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol was at the scene of an injury crash in Putnam County on Friday night. The crash took place on US 17 near the intersection with Silver Pond Road.
Troopers first received a call regarding the crash around 6:25 p.m. and arrived around 6:30 p.m. According to a release, the driver who caused the accident fled the scene before officials could arrive. There was at least one injury reported as a result of the collision. At this time, there is no word on the condition or identity of the victims. Police have not released a description of the vehicle or suspect involved in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information available at this time.
