Stuart, FL - One Killed, One Critically Hurt in Crash on Southeast Ault Avenue

Stuart, FL (August 25, 2020) - One person was killed and another was critically hurt in a two-car crash that took place in Stuart on Sunday, August 23rd. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Ault Avenue and Southeast Cove Road. 

According to police, a 65-year-old man from Stuart was driving an SUV westbound on Cove Road when he made an improper lane change and veered into the path of a pickup truck driven by a 25-year-old woman from Palm Beach Gardens. The two cars collided head-on with one another. The 65-year-old man was killed in the crash while the 25-year-old woman sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Neither driver has been identified at this time.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No additional details are available.
