Hit-and-run accidents in Florida account for about 25% of all reported traffic crashes in our state. Sadly, a hit-and-run accident often has devastating consequences for the victim and can even result in death under the worst-case scenario. Drivers who choose to flee the scene of a crash that they cause will face stiff criminal penalties as well as civil responsibility for their negligent driving that caused the crash to occur.
