Clearwater, FL - Timmy Parker Hurt in Pedestrian Accident on Court Street

Clearwater, FL (August 22, 2020) - The Clearwater Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Friday, August 21st. The crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. along Court Street, just east of MLK, Jr. Avenue.

According to reports from the scene, 65-year-old Timmy Parker of Clearwater was walking near the eastbound lanes of the roadway when he was struck by a 2018 Toyota Camry. Parker was walking in a southbound direction at the time of the crash. The Camry driver was identified as 82-year-old Wayne Spencer of Cape Coral. Parker was taken to Bayfront Health with life-threatening injuries and he was listed in critical condition as of Saturday.

Spencer remained at the scene of the crash until police arrived. There is no word on possible charges at this time and no additional information is available.

Florida pedestrian accident can result in serious, life-changing injuries. Pedestrians are very vulnerable to being hurt or killed when they are involved in an incident involving a vehicle.
