Lehigh Acres, FL (August 19, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a serious accident in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday, August 19th. The crash happened on State Road 82 near the intersection with Jaguar Boulevard.

Troopers arrived at the scene and discovered at least one person suffering from serious injuries that were caused by the crash. Based on initial reports, the injured victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment but there is no word on their condition at this time. Police and investigators were at the scene for several hours, resulting in delays for motorists traveling through the area. Drivers were advised to use caution and to find alternate routes if possible. There is no word on what led up to the accident at this time.

An investigation remains ongoing.
