Osceola County, FL (November 14, 2020) - Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash scene in Osceola County on Saturday morning. The crash took place just after 10:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 near mile marker 58.

Troopers arrived at the crash site around 10:50 a.m. According to investigators, at least one person was hurt in the accident. The nature of the victim's injuries is not known at this time. Rescue crews also responded to the scene to provide treatment to the injured victim. At this time, there is no information regarding the cause of the accident or the total number of injured victims. The crash caused a roadblock at the scene and motorists were advised to avoid the area and use caution when traveling.

An investigation is underway at this time. There is no further information available. 

According to statistics, there are about 250,000 injury accidents in Florida each year and a total of approximately 400,000 reported crashes. The odds of being injured in a Florida car accident are, unfortunately, quite high. Many injured victims are simply innocent motorists who come into contact with a negligent driver.
